International Surgical Mission Support has the pleasure of announcing its new Chapter, ISMS Global Outreach for Medical Education and Development, ISMS-GO MED.

GO MED is a Global Outreach project aimed at upgrading infrastructures of selected hospitals in poor countries and providing the local healthcare providers with continuous medical education to create an improved and sustainable growth.

In March 2014, ISMS’s Team NY completed a Humanitarian Mission to Ghana which took place at that Holy Family Hospital in Techiman, Ghana. Keenly aware of the inadequate conditions and overcrowding of the current Pediatric Ward a group of members of ISMS has made a commitment to carry on this ambitious project under the new chapter ISMS GO MED.

ISMS-GO MED’s first project is to build the second floor of a new building which includes the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Holy Family Hospital. The project will also provide education and training to the healthcare providers at the hospital.

ISMS GO MED Team: Within ISMS a team has been formed to work solely in all the areas of this project. The team members are:

Dr. Medhat Allam, Founder ISMS; President of ISMS Team NY
Ms. Alexandra Allam
