Brazil 2001

In 2001 we did our fourth mission in association with a Brazilian organization knows as Fundmed and an American organization known as North West Medical Team International.  The trip was unique in many ways.  We were introduced to the director of operation of Fundmed, the late Mr. Harold Seidel, who one of the most interesting individuals we ever met.  We also were able to perform a C-section in our first day and save the lives of a young mother and her baby boy.  This incident put us on their national TV and news media.   Surgeries took place in Leonidass Mole Hospital in the city of Barras, state of Piaui.
